Application

The Scott Type Crease-Flex Abrasion Tester is used to assess the crease-flex abrasion resistance of various materials, including leather, rubber, cloth, and more. The force applied to the specimen, the distance between grips, and the two-way distance can all be adjusted. The force is applied using a spring-type mechanism. The test involves clamping two specimens in a cross shape and applying the appropriate load based on the material. The specimens are then flexed and creased reciprocally. After completing the specified number of abrasion cycles, the samples are examined for signs of cracking, wrinkling, or discoloration.
