VIT 20 – Geotextile Opening Size Tester (Dry Sieving)

[product_tags_no_comma_alt]

Application

The Geotextile Opening Size Tester (Dry Sieving) is used to determine the apparent opening size (AOS) of geotextiles by sieving glass beads through a geotextile sample. The geotextile specimen is placed in a sieve frame, and sized glass beads are applied to the surface. The test setup shakes laterally, inducing a jarring motion to pass the beads through the geotextile. The procedure is repeated using various bead sizes until the apparent opening size of the geotextile is determined.

Features

  • Servo Motor and Driving System: Panasonic (Japan) for smooth operation
  • Heavy-duty Base: Ensures stable and quiet testing environment
  • Electric Components: Schneider (Germany) components for reliability
  • Frequency Adjustor: Allows a wide range of test speeds
